- AmatullaahMy two tabby cats were well-protected by the bag, which was very robust. When traveling or going on walks, they appeared to be very at ease in the bag. I was unable to zip the bag back together after unzipping the inside lining to clean it. My cats' two separate areas in the bag are no longer present. I got myself into a jam when the building's fire alarm went out; suffice it to say that we most likely wouldn't have been able to escape in time if there had actually been a fire.I was aware that it could be preferable for me to come up with another option than attempting to pack them into a crate and bring it down the stairs or corridor, etc. I'm a scrawny 5'1" and can lift them without dropping them or turning my limbs into spaghetti. This dual-decker backpack has literally saved my life! I test drove it when it first came, and it was fantastic. The top compartment's detachable bottom is solid, so I won't have to worry about my kid squeezing her brother inside; the zippers are reliable; there are numerous adjustable straps; and there is a waist clasp, all of which make it very customizable to best fit your body. The fact that each compartment has its own entrance is one thing I find to be VERY convenient. If you've ever had to cram two terrified animals into a carrier, you are familiar with the difficulty of having one escape as you wrestle the other one inside. I can now put my son in the bottom tier (he's very chill) and concentrate on putting his sister into the top tier (she hates being carried and rightfully screams out at screaming alarms). Although it IS quite enormous (notice that I am quite short), I believe that this is the perfect size for pets to fit comfortably. If necessary, I could drag the object on the floor for a short distance because the material appears to be solid enough. Additionally, I only really use it in an emergency. As luck would have it, shortly after I received the backpack, the fire alarm sounded once more. And what about that? I quickly evacuated with my cats and we arrived unscathed!

With 30 pounds of animal and five pounds of equipment loaded, the straps on the shoulder, chest, and waist are body-contoured, adjustable, and secured in ways that reduce pressure areas. They also feel amazing. The pockets and baggage pouches are spacious. Strong double-draw zippers on each zipper allow for various access points to the compartment. The top screen of the top compartment has a sun cover that rolls back like a tent flap, and all three screens do the same (to leave open for animals to enter as they please).

Because it's a backpack, it's a lot lighter on your back, and it feels like a medium-weight backpack. My two dogs weigh around 16 pounds combined, so it seems like a university rucksack with a few textbooks. Our cat is highly accustomed to the pack and can easily enter and exit through any of the doors.
